Independent advisory · Budapest · EU markets
Distributors, OEM partners, resellers. I map the market, open the doors and sit in on the first conversations, then hand the relationships over to you.
Great products deserve the right Partners.
I only take on work in markets where I have my own contacts and operating experience. That keeps the list short.
E-bikes, drive systems, batteries, displays and fleet solutions. From 2016 to 2025 I sold GPS Tuner's navigation software into this industry and built its partner network, which put me in regular contact with drive-system makers such as Bosch, Bafang, Brose, TQ, Shimano, Panasonic and Yamaha, with brands and OEMs such as Trek, ZF, Fischer, Fantic and HNF Nicolai, and with battery and display manufacturers and distributors across DACH, Benelux and CEE.
Software that sells to manufacturers, distributors, fleets or mobility operators. EU expansion, reseller and partner programmes, pricing localisation.
The circular side of light electric vehicles: e-bike battery second life and recycling, drive-unit and component take-back, refurbished e-bikes and spare-parts supply. The EU Battery Regulation makes this a partner question for every brand selling in Europe.
No agency, no junior team. You work with me directly, and what I know comes from shows, negotiations and signed contracts, not from a slide library.

As an exhibitor, speaker or visitor. If you are going to one of these, we can meet there.
Between 2022 and 2025, GPS Tuner developed a white-label navigation application for a large German automotive group. The agreement was worth around 600,000 euros, the largest single contract I worked on there.
My part was the commercial side from first contact to signature: preparing the contract, running the client meetings over many months, and keeping the deal alive when our CEO left mid-process. I brought founder Gábor Tárnok into the negotiation and we closed it together.
The project was later discontinued on the client's side, which is why I do not name them. What stayed with me: a large-company deal is won in the months between meetings, not in the meetings.
Sized to the question, the timeline and the budget. Every engagement starts with the same 30-minute call, and most start with the audit.
A focused look at your target market, your competitors and the three to five most credible partner paths. You get a written plan you can act on with or without me.
I open the doors, run the first conversations and shape the commercial terms. You stay in the driver's seat; I do the legwork that usually takes a junior BD team a year.
A senior operator inside your leadership team for a fixed number of days each month. For when you are not ready for a full-time VP International, but the work will not wait.
Four steps. The last one is designed to make me unnecessary.
A 30-minute call to understand the product, the team and what "international" actually means for you this year.
Two to three weeks to map markets, competitors and partner paths. Delivered as a 10-page brief.
I run outreach, structure the first meetings and draft term sheets alongside your team.
Contacts, playbooks and open conversations transferred to you, with a plan for the next twelve months.
I am Mátyás Kurta, founder of KML Global Reach. From 2016 to 2025 I worked at GPS Tuner Systems in Budapest, first as a tester, then as Sales Manager and Key Account Manager, selling the company's cycling navigation software to the e-bike industry and building its international partner network, from drive-system manufacturers to brands, OEMs and distributors, from Frankfurt to Taichung. That work taught me how partnerships actually get signed: slowly, in person, and on terms both sides can live with.
The circular economy has been a long-standing interest of mine, and in e-mobility it has become a practical one: what happens to batteries and drive units at the end of their first life is now a partner question for every brand. Before the bike industry I spent a decade in banking and leasing, in customer-facing and team lead roles. I write about these topics regularly on LinkedIn, and I work with a small number of advisory clients at a time, deliberately, from Budapest.
Opinions on e-mobility, SaaS go-to-market and the circular side of light electric vehicles. Mine, so feel free to disagree.
Avinox went from 12 to over 60 brands in a year, Gobao arrives with an E-CVT, and Bosch is opening APIs. From 2027, drive choice is partner strategy.
The trustees' first report: 60 interested parties, 434 creditors, €38.4 million in claims. Investors are watching the brands. I am watching the dealers who need a second supplier for 2027.
The German association says the worst is over. Shimano says European inventories are still high. Both are right, and that matters for your 2027 plan.
Yes. Most engagements have an EU centre of gravity, but I have built partner conversations reaching the UK, North America and Asia, and I work regularly with Asian manufacturers entering Europe.
Always. Send yours, or use mine.
The Market Discovery Audit is a fixed-scope, fixed-price piece of work. Retained work scales with scope. You get a clear number after the first call, not a range.
No. I make an existing team faster, or I hold the seat until the right hire is made, then hand everything over.
Not by default. I work for a fee so my advice stays independent of which partner you pick. A success component can be agreed for build-out work if you prefer it.
No charge, no deck. Tell me where you want to be in twelve months, and I will tell you honestly whether I can help.
